ABSTRACT
Furazolidone is reduced at the nitro group in the initial step of their
biotransformation, and continued to undergo further reduction of the
nitro. It has been suggested that the nitro-reductive intermediates of
nitrofuran derivatives are genotoxic, still farmers are giving this
antibiotic for the treatment of diarrhea to chicken in many countries.
To reduce the effect of furazolidone Natural herbs and formulations
researchers formulated a product contains furazolidone in addition with
various Phytoconstituents extracted from various herbal plants and
studied under various treatments on broiler chicken. This study
revealed that Furalac+ reduced the furazolidone metabolic rate in
chicken and inhibited the activity of NADPH cytochrome P450
reductase (CPR) was responsible for the increasing of the furazolidone
metabolic rate. Our research also revealed that being a less carcinogenic effect product has
more than 200 g/mol furazolidone activity against diarrhea and showed best FCR.
Keywords: Cancer, FCR, Furazolidone, Furalac+, Oocyst.
