In addition to Pet ether, Chloroform, Ethylacetate, Methanol extractions are also subjected to in vitro antibacterial activity using standard procedures. Results of Phytochemical standards analysis of B.retusa revealed that these results suggest strong antibacterial potentials of the Bridelia retusa. These bioactive compounds may be responsible for antibacterial properties of B.retusa that form the basis of their use in herbal medicine in india.
