A REVIEW ON PARKINSON’S DISEASE: AN OVERVIEW

Abstract Parkinson's disease (PD) is one among the foremost common neurodegenerative disorders. Sources of knowledge Literature search using Medline with keywords paralysis agitans supplemented with previously published papers known to the author. There are significant recent advances wit0hin the understanding of the pathogenesis of the disease. There has also been a greater realization that the disorder could also be related to significant non-motor disturbances additionally to the more commonly recognized motor complications. Although there's growing indirect evidence, it remains to be proven whether any of the present treatments for PD have a neuro-protective effect. Although there's no cure, there are several management options for the first treatment of PD. because the disease progresses, further treatment options are available; however, the management of late-stage motor complications and non-motor symptoms remains particularly challenging and can enjoy further clinical research.
