Abstract

Parikartika in Guda is identified by kartanvata and chedanavata vedana according to ayurveda. Fissure in ano is small longitudinal ulcer in long axis of lower anal canal. It presents with acute pain, Sphincter spasm and Acute bleeding. most often occurs in adult aged 15-40 yrs. The treatment Aims at relieving Constipation by Stool softeners. It also includes Local application. Severe cases may need Surgical treatment like Anal Dilatation or Sphincterotomy. But all these methods have many drawbacks Prolonged administration of NSAIDs can cause gastric irritation, application of soothing ointment can cause significant headache and local irritation, also the recurrence rate is almost 50% after conservative management. Surgical treatment can create complications like hematoma, abscess formation, recurrent ulcer formation and persistent mucous discharge. Ayurveda can be very helpful in this regard. In this study 6 Herbo mineral drugs will used in combination in ointment form that having Wound healing properties as per mentioned in Ayurvedic text. In this study 60 patients were selected randomly and divided 30 in each group. In trial group wound was treated with the Namaskaradi ointment and in control group with Anovate cream for 15 days. Observations were done on subjective and objective parameters and analysis was done statistically.
