ROLE OF BRUHMANA THERAPIES IN VATAVYADHIS W.S.R. TO BASTI KARMA

Abstract

As Vata having the gunas like ruksha, laghu, khara, chala etc and Bruhana dravya having gunas like snigdha, Guru, Picchila, Sthira etc. so in Vaata vyadhi Viparita guna chikista is needful. Incidence of Vatavyadhi is more in Vrudda and madhyama as there is Hrasa of Bruhmana compare to Balavastha so Brihmana is needed.and in Dhatu ksaya janya vydhis Bruhmana plays a major role to mitigate Pravrudda Vata along with nourishing the Dhatu. And Vata vyadhi are Kruchra Sadhya hence there is need of Bruhmana chikitsa along with Shamanoushadhi.
