Abstract Janu Sandhi is one of the most important weight-bearing joints of the human body and plays a vital role in locomotion and stability. In Ayurveda, Janu Sandhi is described under Sandhi Sharira and Asthi-Sandhi Marma, emphasizing its structural, functional, and clinical significance. The concept of applied anatomy in Ayurveda integrates classical anatomical descriptions with clinical utility, particularly in understanding disease manifestation, diagnosis, and management.
