Abstract

Arka Kalpana is a specialized Ayurvedic dosage form that employs distillation to extract the active constituents of medicinal substances. The term Arka is derived from the Persian word 'Arrak,' meaning ―essence‖[1] and denotes a potent liquid extract. Arka Prakasha outlines the preparation and application of Arka, emphasizing its significance in pharmacy. Due to its concentrated nature, Arka demonstrates rapid action, efficient absorption, precise dosing, and enhanced stability.
