DEVELOPMENT AND EVALUATION OF WITHANIA COAGULANS LOADED POLYMERIC NANOCAPSULES FOR ENHANCED ANTIDIABETIC EFFICACY

Abstract Diabetes mellitus is a major metabolic disorder requiring effective and safe therapeutic approaches. Withania coagulans is a medicinal plant with well-established antidiabetic activity; however, its therapeutic potential is limited by poor bioavailability and stability. The present study focuses on the development and evaluation of Withania coagulans-loaded polymeric nanocapsules to enhance its antidiabetic efficacy. The nanocapsules were formulated using a suitable biodegradable polymer and evaluated for particle size, zeta potential, encapsulation efficiency, drug release, and stability. The optimized formulation is expected to improve bioavailability, provide sustained drug release, and enhance antidiabetic activity compared to the plain extract. This nanoherbal formulation may offer a promising strategy for the effective management of diabetes mellitus.
