Abstract

A CONVINIENT SYNTHESIS OF THIAZOLO PYRIMIDO BENZOTHIAZOLE DERIVATIVES

Abstract

The 6-Cyano-5-oxo-7-(methylthio)-5H-thiazolo[3,2-a]pyrimidine on reaction with substituted 2-amino benzothiazoles in presence of weak base anhydrous K2CO3 and N,N-dimethyl formamide as solvent afford 6-imino-5-oxo thiazolo[2,3-b]pyrimido[5,6-e]pyrimido[2,3-b] benzothiazoles. The newly synthesized compounds were confirmed on the basis of Mass Spectroscopy, Infrared Spectroscopy and 1HNMR Spectroscopy.
