Abstract Solanum nigrum is a medicinal plant containing a wide variety of bioactive substances that can be used for various biomedical applications. The purpose of this article is to analyze the phytochemicals present in the hexane and methanol leaf extracts of S. nigrum using GC-MS and LC-MS to separate non-polar and polar metabolites, respectively. The evaluation of the antioxidant capacity of the extracts will be considered as a measure of their biological activity. The combination of phytochemical and antioxidant analyses gives a comprehensive view of the biologically active substances in S. nigrum. Keywords: Solanum nigrum is a medicinal plant containing a wide variety of bioactive substances that can be used for various biomedical applications.
