Abstract

A CASE REPORT ON THE AYURVEDIC MANAGEMENT OF PRAMEHA

*Dr. Roshni Bamb, Dr. Sanjay Pawade

Abstract

Prameha is a metabolic disorder described in Ayurveda, characterized by excessive and turbid urination resulting from derangement of Dosha, Dushya, and Agni. The clinical manifestations of Prameha resemble Type 2 Diabetes Mellitus, a major global health concern. Ayurveda advocates a holistic approach involving dietary regulation, lifestyle modification, and medicinal intervention. The present case report evaluates the efficacy of Ayurvedic treatment in a patient diagnosed with Prameha. Following eight weeks of treatment, significant improvement was observed in clinical symptoms as well as biochemical parameters. The case highlights the potential role of Ayurvedic management in improving glycemic control and enhancing the patient's quality of life.

Keywords: Prameha, Madhumeha, Type 2 Diabetes Mellitus, Ayurveda, Case Report, Amalakyadi Churna.
