Abstract

SYNTHESIS AND STUDY OF ANTIBACTARIAL AND ANTIFUNGAL ACTIVITY OF SOME THIAZOLIDINONE AND HYDANTOIN MERGED HETEROCYCLIC COMPOUNDS

Abstract

The medicinal chemistry of hydantoin is well kwon among the researchers. In addition to it the presence of thiazolidinone moiety in the structure of several drug molecules. Here in this present work we have synthesized some heterocyclic compounds containing both the medicinally important moieties. They have been characterized by spectroscopic techniques. And they were investigated for their biological activeness against some bacterial and fungal microbes. The result showed the moderate to higher activity in some compounds.
