Urmila Chaudhary, Veena Sharma* and Shatruhan Sharma
Abstract Objects: The main object of this study is to explore the antioxidant and phyto-chemistry of various sequential (petroleum ether, benzene, chloroform, ethyl acetate, ethanol and aqueous) extracts of H. isora roots which is a medicinal plant. Methods: In vitro Phytochemical (phenol, flavonoid, proanthocynidins, tannins and saponin) of H. isora roots were estimated and various antioxidant (DPPH, FRAP, total antioxidant activity, metal chelating, hydroxyl radical, superoxide anion, nitric-oxide radical scavenging activity and reducing power assay) assays were performed. Results: The aqueous extract of H. isora exerted significant (P Keywords: Helicteres isora; Reducing power; Antioxidant activity; Flavonoids; IC50. [Full Text Article] [Download Certificate] |
