BIOLOGICAL ACTIVITY OF 5-(2,3,4-PYRIDYL)-1,3,4-OXADIAZOL-2- THIONES AND THEIR DERIVATIVES.
A.A. Ziyaev* and D.S. Ismailova
Abstract Annotation. Various biologically activity of oxadiazole derivatives, such as antibacterial, antifungal, antiviral, anticonvulsant, anticancer and others, as well as the availability of drags containing 1,2,4- oxadiazole group (Raltegravir, Zibotentan, Tiodazosin, Furamizole and Nesapidil) attracts much attention of chemists engaged in the search for new therapeutic molecules. In this regard, special attention cause five-membered heterocycles - 1,3,4-oxadiazol group-2-thiones having in its molecule two nitrogen atoms and one oxygen and sulfur atoms. In this review, we have attempted to describe the different kinds of biological, especially the pharmacological activity of unique and interesting representatives of this class – isomeric 5-(2,3,4-pyridyl)- 1,3,4-oxadiazol-2-thiones, consisting important pharmacophoric groups – pyridine and oxadiazolthione. Keywords: 1,3,4-oxadiazoles, isomeric 5- (2,3,4-pyridyl) -1,3,4-oxadiazol-2-thiones, antibacterial, antifungal, analgesic, anti-inflammatory, antiviral, anticancer, antihypertensive, anticonvulsant, anti-tuberculosis and other activities.
