PERIODONTAL MICROSURGERY- THE GROWING WAVE OF MAGNIFICATION

Abstract

Over the past years, various innovative procedures have been introduced with the aim of obtaining the treatment outcome which is best for the patient in the field of Periodontology, one such advancement is the application of microsurgery in the treatment of various periodontal problems and conditions. The improved visual acuity of microsurgery aids in the surgical procedures and provide the advantages of less patient discomfort, rapid healing, improved esthetics and better patient compliance. The aim of this paper is to provide an overview of added benefits of periodontal microsurgery to conventional periodontal surgery.
