Abstract

Upavisha is a group of drug having toxic properties but with lesser virulence then Mahavisha group of drugs. Empirical knowledge of the therapeutics of these drugs may open new dimensions of their clinical uses. Thus this review is a sincere attempt to gather the scattered knowledge about classical therapeutic uses of Upavisha drugs in various treatises.
