COMPARATIVE STUDY OF NETRA SHARIR WITH SPECIAL REFERENCE TO NETRA MANDALAS

Abstract

Study is done to simplify the vague terms in the case of Netra Mandals. This ia observed that first four Mandalas are correlated to modern anatomical structure in literal study. Pakshma Mandala can be correlated with eyelashes. Vartma Mandala can be correlated with eyelids, Shweta Mandal can be correlated with sclera with conjunctival covering. Krishna Mandla can be correlated as cornea. It was observed that lens was the structure affected in most of the cases. This shows that the lens can be called as Drushti Mandala as it is affected most in Drishtigat Vyadhi.
