Abstract

SYNTHESIS, CHARACTERIZATION AND ANTIMICROBIAL ACTIVITY OF QUINAZOLIN-4-ONE BASED SOME NEW CHALCONES DERIVATIVES

Abstract

Chalcones Derivatives have their own importance in biological field. A new series of Chalcone were prepared from quinazolin-4-one with aromatic aldehydes in the presence of aqueous solution of alkali and ethanol. The synthesized compounds were characterized. The chemical structures of the products are confirmed by IR, NMR and spectral data.
