POLYMERS TRENDS IN NANO-DRUG DELIVERY AND CONTROLLED DRUG RELEASE SYSTEMS

Abstract

The progress of biodegradable polymers characterizes great leads in aspects of drug delivery. Release problem questions are of great concerns in drug delivery field of study, most of the drugs even though they are effective but they do not maintain in circulation to reach their targets in effective concentrations. Accordingly, the desired properties of polymers can be modified by altering the physicochemical properties e.g., polymer type, polymer molecular weight, monomer structure and, copolymerization or blending with other polymers. Herein, this review tries to give conclusive summaries on field of polymeric drug delivery and stimuli responsive therapy.
