AN UPDATED OVERVIEW ON BREAST CANCER

Abstract Breast cancer is that the most typically occurring cancer in women and also the second most common overall. There have been over a pair of million new cases in 2018. This review briefly explain the importance of DNA damage and repair, introduce the current classification schemes for breast cancer, and review the known defects in the repair machinery that have been associated with the risk of breast cancer, stages, diagnosis of breast cancer and current therapies of the breast cancer. Finally, we discuss how the understanding of these pathways can help to design therapeutics for specific targeting of breast cancer tumors, stages, diagnosis of breast tumors, risk factors and recent therapies of the breast cancer. More importantly, their implications for future study are also evaluated and potential targeted strategies are proposed to break through the limitation of current therapies.
