HOMOLOGY MODELING OF TYROSINASE, A THERAPEUTIC ENZYME USING COMPUTATIONAL TOOLS OF BIOLOGY
Dr. Praveen Reddy P.*
Abstract The microbial Tyrosinase enzyme can be used in the treatment of Parkinson’s disease. The ability of Tyrosinase to act as anti-Parkinson lies in its ability to convert tyrosine into L-3,4-dihyroxyphenylalanine. Various microbes which have the ability to produce Tyrosinase were reported. The computational tools can be employed to improve the quality and activity of biomolecules. Presently, protein modeling is a developing area. Proteins are exploited in various industries and research studies. In the present paper, from UniProt server the bacterial Tyrosinase enzyme sequence was obtained and using the sequence the three-dimensional model of Tyrosinase was developed in SWISSMODEL server. The quality of developed Tyrosinase model was validated in Procheck and Verify 3D servers. Further the Tyrosinase enzyme model can be improved using sophisticated bioinformatics tools and the same improved Tyrosinase can be produced by microbes. Keywords: Tyrosinase, Parkinson’s disease, L-3,4-dihyroxyphenylalanine, microbes, UniProt, SWISS-MODEL, Procheck, Verify 3D. [Full Text Article] [Download Certificate] |
