COSMETIC TOXICITY W.R.T. DUSHIVISHA: A REVIEW

Abstract Now a days beauty is key of confidence and so many people enhances their beauty drastically by using cosmetic product like sunscreen, foundation, lipstick, nail paints etc. some of these products made from the natural ingredients and some from chemicals but most of the beauty products contains hazardous metals like mercury and lead and chemicals like coal, tar, dye, tri ethanolamine. All the way these chemical enhances the beauty but in other hand it also has some side effects like skin disorders, rashes, itching, dermatitis. And hardly very few people are aware of it. Dushivisha is the residue of the toxic substances which may be animate or inanimate even after its elimination from body. And according to Ayurveda this dushivisha concept can correlate with the cosmetic toxicity. Cosmetic products contains various chemical and toxins which can later on causes toxicity.
