Abstract

SONICATED SYNTHESIS AND CHARACTERISATION OF MACROCYCLIC COMPLEXES WITH TRANSITION METALS

Abstract

A new series of complexes of the type [M (C12N4H20O2)X2], where M=Co, Ni, Cu, X=Cl- or NO3 corresponds to the tetra dentate macro cyclic ligand. The complexes are characterized by elemental analysis, conductance and magnetic measurements, UV/Vis and IR spectroscopy. Based on these studies a octahedral geometry is suggested. All the synthesized macrocylic complexes were subjected for antimicrobial screening.
