Abstract
Joint diseases are of particular interest due to their prevalence and
negative impact on the quality of life among children 10 and older. In
patients with concomitant somatic pathology, due to impaired oral
homeostasis, the barrier resistance of periodontal tissues and hard
tissues of the teeth decreases. One of the leading factors in the
occurrence of these diseases is considered microbial invasion, which
plays an important role in determining the direction of prevention of
dental diseases. Despite the achievements in dental science and
practice, the question remains of studying the state of the oral cavity in
patients with chronic dental pathology, including systemic inflammatory diseases of the
connective tissue.
Keywords: Caries, rheumatism, dental health, Rheumatoid arthritis, temporomandibular.
