A REVIEW ON HATCHERY WASTE MANAGEMENT

Abstract An in-depth review was undertaken to analyse about the efficient utilization of the hatchery waste, poultry consists of both solid and liquid waste which need to be separated by various physical and chemical methods. The generated wastes are commonly dumped in to the landfills. which can be avoided by efficiently utilizing them for the need, such as using them to run the thermal power generators by burning them in the furnace and generate steam for running the turbines, the other important utilization of these waste is by applying them to the aquaculture were the powdered egg shell specially the liquified material can be disposed into the lagoons, which enhance the growth of algae, zooplanktons which become the feed for the fishes and this system form an integrated farming and can make the water useful for the irrigation, the egg shell membrane is the rich sources of amino acid, protein and a very rich source of collagen which can be utilized for the industrial production by implementing a proper extraction methodology for the production of the diet supplement, development of the beauty products and enhancing wound healing by introduction of the folk medicinal plant know for wound healing and treating skin related activities, these efficient utilization of the hatchery waste can reduce the cost of disposal and come up with the value added products.
