PREGNANCY AND ISTHMOCELE: ABOUT A CASE

Abstract Pregnancy associated with an isthmocele (a cesarean scar defect or uterine niche) is a rare form of ectopic pregnancy that can be lifethreatening and functional in the uterus by hemorrhage or by early uterine rupture. We report the case of a pregnancy associated with an isthmocele diagnosed at 15 weeks of amenorrhea in a 37-year-old patient carrying a bi-scar uterus with a history of pregnancy on an isthmocele treated with methotrexate. Through this observation and a review of the literature, the authors will try to take stock of the diagnostic and therapeutic methods of this rare entity in order to improve the price charged.
