A REVIEW OF COVID-19: PATHOGENESIS, SYMPTOMS, TRANSMISSION, DIAGNOSIS AND TREATMENT

Abstract The Coronavirus Disease Pandemic 2019 (COVID-19) caused by the novel acute respiratory syndrome coronavirus 2 (SARS-CoV-2) poses an ongoing task in identifying suitable treatments for prevention and diagnosis. Due to the rapid pace of scientific advancement and scientific research generated by a large group of individuals who are rapidly infected with SARS-CoV-2, physicians need efficient evidence of effective medical treatment for this infection. The origin, pathogenesis and immune responses, epidemiology, diagnosis, treatment and management of the disease are all assessed in this review.
