Abstract Identifying new antibacterial agents from natural compound are getting more attention now a days, as microorganisms are developing resistivity against available antibiotics. Objective: The aim was to study the efficacy of the anti-bacterial effect of Polyphenols enriched extract of Piper longum seed extract against staphylococcus aureus. Methods: The materials involved in this study include Piper longum seed, staphylococcus aureus in the bacterial type culture collection, agar, and blood-agar plates. Results: At 8% concentration, of Polyphenols enriched Piper longum seed extract had zero anti-bacterial activity and while between 8% and 20% concentrations revealed high activity against the bacteria. Thus, Thus, inflation in the anti-microbial activity was promising as the concentration augmented from 8 to 20%. The results acquired from this study points that polyphenol enriched extract of Piper longum seed had antibacterial property against Staphylococcus aureus when obtained to a necessary concentration. Keywords: Piper longum, Long piper, Stephylococcus aureus, Anti-bacterial effect, Polyphenols enriched extracts. [Full Text Article] [Download Certificate] |
