A REVIEW ARTICLE ON MASANUMASIKA GARBHINI PARICHARYA ACCORDING TO DIFFERENT ACHARYA’S

Abstract Ayurveda means ‘Science of Life’. It places great emphasis on prevention and encourages the maintenance of health through close attention to balance in one’s life, right thinking, diet, lifestyle and the use of herbs. Ayurveda considers food to be the best source of nourishment as well as medication for the pregnant woman. Garbhiniparicharya or antenatal care is systematic supervision of a woman during pregnancy for the overall development of mother as well as the baby. It includes caring of pregnant woman in the form of Ahara(diet), Vihara (lifestyle), Oushadha(medication), Paramasha (counselling) and Sambhashana preparing her for Sukha Prasava (safe delivery), both mentally and physically.
