A CASE REPORT ON HYDATIDIFORM MOLE
Aiswarya Vasavan*, Dr. Dhanya Dharman and Shaiju S. Dharan
Abstract A non-cancerous tumor that develops in the uterus as a result of a nonviable pregnancy. There may or may not be an embryo or placental tissue present. If there is an embryo, it won’t be able to survive. Molar pregnancy is formed as a result of divergent fertilization process that leads to production of atypical tissue within the uterus. It categorized in two groups: partial and complete. Complete mole involves absence of the embryo, where partial mole demonstrates presence of fetal parts. Patient had presented with bleeding PV associated with abdominal pain. Hydatidiform mole (HM) is a premalignant proliferative trophoblastic disorder. Vaginal bleeding is the most common presenting symptom in women with HM. Keywords: Hydatidiform mole, molar pregnancy, beta HCG. [Full Text Article] [Download Certificate] |
