Abstract Today’s changing lifestyle i.e. Hurry, Curry and Worry is giving way to newer diseases and syndromes. ‘Amlapitta’ is one of them and is common in all age groups. Nowadays the disease ‘Amlapitta’ is one of the wide spread disease caused by abnormality of ‘Pachaka Pitta’. ‘Amlapitta’ is a state where Pitta attains ‘Amlibhava’ and ‘Vidagdhata’ also ‘Shuktatwa’, thus hampering ‘Aharapachana’ and causing ‘Agnimandya’ – the root cause of many diseases. Such a ‘Durbalagni’ is not able to do ‘SamyakaPachana’ and so generates symptoms like ‘AmlaTiktaUdgara’, ‘Utklesha’ hence causing ‘Amlapitta’. In Ayurvedic classics, properties of ‘Dosha’ are described. Two types of Dosha are mentioned viz. ‘SaamaDosha’ and ‘NiraamaDosha’. This ‘Aam’ further leads to ‘Agnimandya’ which is a base of all diseases. This is basic pathology or ‘Samprapti’ of all diseases including ‘Amlapitta’. So ‘Agnimandya’ and ‘Amlapitta’ are both product of ‘Aam’. Amlapitta is among the commonest disorders prevalent in the society now a day due to indulgence in inceptive food habits & stressful lifestyle. It’s a common disease with prevalence as high as 20% in India Population. Keywords: . [Full Text Article] [Download Certificate] |
