Abstract

Fetus is the combination of sperm, ovum and soul inside the womb. Sharirsthan of Charakand Sushrut Samhita have deeply explained the factors regarding fetus and pregnant woman. Supraja nirman is a protocol for maternal care which leads to birth of the best and healthy progeny. Ayurveda has explained Ahar, Vihar and Sadavritta which should be followed by the lady before, during and after conception. ‘Reproduction by choice and not by chance’ is the moto of Garbha sanskar for enjoyable motherhood and a healthy child.
