ROLE OF VAYASTHAPAN GANA TOWARDS GERIATRIC CARE â€“ A REVIEW

Abstract

Ayurveda has eight major disciplines (branches). These eight major branches are collectively knowns as Ashtang Ayurveda in one of oldest system for management of health. The treatment of body (kaya) by virtue of Ayurveda medication and principles is general aim of branches kayachikitsa. Acharyas told mahakashaya, in which vayasthapana gana belongs. The use of these vayasthapana gana as internal medicine with general principles of Ayurveda afters health benefits in case of ageing or geriatric health issues.
