EFFECT OF AYURVEDIC MEDICINES IN APLASTIC ANAEMIA – A CASE STUDY

Abstract

Aplastic anaemia is characterized by unexplained bone marrow failure resulting in pancytopenia. The peripheral blood shows pancytopenia affecting red cells, granulocytes and platelets. In Ayurved treatment principles, Pandu is the spectrum of diseases in which anaemia can also be incorporated. In the present case study, an attempt has been made to study the concept of Aplastic Anaemia in Ayurved view. To study the effect of Ayurved medicines Vasaguduchyadi Kashayam, Punarnavadi Kashayam, Draksha leha, Suvarnamalini vasant, Praval pishti, Guduchi sattva in the management of Aplastic Anaemia.
