PHARMACEUTICAL EVALUATION OF KASEESA DRAVA

Abstract

Ayurveda is a holistic science which primarily focuses on maintain the health of a healthy person and curing the diseases in diseased one. It explains various dosage forms to ease the selection of medicine for physicians. The selection of dose will be based on yukti of a physician considering roga and rogi with several other factors too. Kaseesa Drava is one such formulation explained by Acharya Sadananda Sharma in his text Rasa Tarangini which is mainly indicated in Guda Bhramsha.[1] Pushpa Kaseesa has vranaghna action. Kaseesa Drava is prepared by adding Shodhita Kaseesa and distilled water. In the present article the objective of the study is to standardize the herbomineral formulation, Kaseesa Drava.
