Abstract
The ketimines were prepared from aromatic ketones viz. o-Hydroxyacetophenone
and benzophenone with aniline, o-, m- and p-
Nitroanilines by microwave method, using fly ash. The compounds
synthesized were confirmed by microanalysis, UV-Vis and FTIR
spectra. Also their biological activity was studied and results are
compared with that of results of standard drug.
Keywords: Microwave, o-Hydroxy-acetophenone, Benzophenone, Ketimines, Nitro-anilines, Fly ash, Thin Layer Chromatography (TLC) and Biological activity.
