IMPACT OF NANOTECHNOLOGY ON COVID19
Marjan Assefi*, Masoumi Shahab, Dr. Yassamin Ilyavi, and Masoumeh Dastani
Abstract There is an urgent therapeutic and preventive need for COVID-19, There are currently no widely effective approved medications for this disease, and the emergency use permitted medicines do not result in substantial and widespread patient improvement. Also, Vaccines that induce potent neutralizing antibody (NAb) responses against emerging variants of severe acute respiratory syndrome coronavirus 2 (SARSCoV-2) are essential for combating the coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) pandemic. In this study, we highlight the potential of nanoparticles that could serve as a vehicle to deliver a more potent Therapeutic antiviral dose and demonstrate its efficacy to decrease expression of viral spike protein which are keys to disease control. We also report that the targeted nanoparticle-delivered drugs can inhibit the nuclear transport activities mediated through proteins as a possible mechanism of action. Keywords: coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19), nanoparticle, severe acute respiratory syndrome, vaccine, broadly neutralizing antibody (bNAb). [Full Text Article] [Download Certificate] |
