ANTIOXIDATIVE POTENTIAL OF ROOT EXTRACT FROM SELECTED WEED PLANTS

. Abstract The present research was focused on studying antioxidative potential of Trianthema portulacastrum and Tribulus terrestris. Phenolic compounds were extracted from these plant materials by standard protocols. Further antioxidant potential was measured through DPPH (1,1-diphenyl-2-picrylhydrazyl) free radical scavenging activity and Fourier Transform Infra-Red (FTIR) Spectroscopic study.
