ROLE OF NIMBA (AZADIRACHTA INDICA) IN BABIES SKIN DISEASES

. Abstract Azadirachta indica- Nimba formulations are effective against a several diseases, eczema, sores, burns, ulcers etc. It has been used in ayurvedic medicines for thousands of years because it exhibits therapeutic properties such as anti-viral, anti-fungal, anti-insecticidal, antibacterial, anti-allergic, anti-helminthic, anti-inflammatory and antidermatic properties. Approximately 135 different structural compounds have been identified from different parts of Neem tree for their beneficial effects. Various examples with detailed citations and descriptions, translated from ancient Acharyas such as Charaka, Susrutha, and Vaghbata have been covered. Vernacular names and Sanskrit synonyms of Neem along with its descriptive meaning illustrates the importance and popularity of NimbaS at a wider scale.
