ROLE OF NASYA IN FEMALE INFERTILITY W.S.R. TO ANOVULATION

. Abstract Nasya is way of drug administration. Nasya is the karma where route of drug delivery is nostrils. In which medicated oil, churna is administered through nostril. As a nose is a gateway of shir, the medicated drugs occupies various parts of head and removes morbid doshas. Nasya also act on hypothalamus and pituitary gland. Hypothalamus plays an important role in infertility due to anovulation. Infertility is defined as the inability of a couple to achieve conception after one year of unprotected coitus. There are various factor causing infertility in female, in which ovarian factor contributes upto 15 % cases. By hypothalamus process of ovulation begins with secretion of gonadotropin releasing harmone. This harmones stimulate the anterior pituitary gland to secret LH, FSH. Main control of hormone is situated in the head which is functional area of nasya. So here review is taken to evaluate the explain the action of nasya in infertility due to anovulation.
