. Abstract Passiflora edulis, additionally referred to as passion fruit, is extensively disbursed in tropical and subtropical regions of the world and turns into famous due to balanced nutrients and fitness benefits. The aqueous and ethanolic extract of leaf of plant Passiflora edulis (fam: passifloraceae) became subjected to phytochemical screening. Phytochemical screening gives first hand understanding of vegetation chemical constituents. Phytochemical analysis of the ethanolic extract of Passiflora edulis leaves shows the presence of the subsequent phytochemicals:, Tannins, flavonoids, Alkaloids, Glycosides, Sterol and Triterpenes, Saponins, reducing sugar, carbohydrates. The aqueous extract indicates the presence of Tannins, carbohydrates, Glycosides and Saponins, reducing sugars. Keywords: Passiflora edulis, phytochemical screening, aqueous & ethanolic extract.
