Abstract

The medicinal value of plants lies in some chemical substrates that produce a definitive physiological action on Human body. The presently undertaken drug Plaksha (Ficus lacor Buch.-Ham.) used for several diseases as an ingredient and main preparation. Plaksha (Ficus lacor Buch.-Ham.) has got much significance for its various pharmacological activities, one of them is Vrana, as mentioned in classics. Vrana is very common condition and possess a great problem in the skin and other parts of body. Many efforts are being made all over the world to discover drugs that can promote quick healing. The need for safer and effective wound-healing drugs and the lack of enough scientific data to support the claims made in ancient literature prompted the present study as “EVALUATION oF VRANA ROPANA (WOUND HEALING) EFFECT OF PLAKSHA (Ficus lacor Buch.-Ham.) - AN EXPERIMENTAL STUDY”
