CONCEPTULIZATION OF MODE OF ACTION OF THE FORMULATION (DHATRAYADI KWATH AND GUNJA LEPA) IN SHVITRA

Abstract

Dhatrayadi Kwath (orally) and Gunja Lepa (local application) are an Ayurvedic medicine used to treat Shvitra of various causes. Dhatrayadi Kwath and Gunja Lepa are mentioned in Chakradatta and Yoga Tarangini respectively. The main ingredients of these drugs are Bakuchi, Khadir and Amalaki in Dhatrayadi Kwath and Gunja in Gunja Lepa. The main aim of this article is to collect information regarding use of these drugs in the treatment of Shvitra.
