Abstract

Stroke is the third leading cause of death in the world wide. Stroke also known as CVA which affects the quality of life greatly. At that time management of stroke plays crucial role to achieve desired outcomes. Many short comings were faced till 20th century in the management of stroke. The introduction of recombinant tissue plasminogen activators (rtPA’s) into the medical field makes physician to treat effectively and easily. Mostly used rtPA’s in recent times are tenecteplase and still conducting various clinical trials on the beneficial aspects of the drug. The use of TNK subsides the use of other rtPA’s because of its high fibrin specificity and long t1/2.
