ALTERNATIVE STRATERGIES FOR THE PREVENTIONS AND MANAGEMENT OF COVID-19 - INDIAN TRADITIONAL MEDICINES

Abstract

COVID-19 has spread rapidly over the world and becoming a pandemic. The disease has a dynamic impact in different countries depending on cultural norms, mitigation efforts and health infrastructure. In India, most people rely on traditional Indian medicine to treat human ailments due to low cost, readily available and without any side effects. These medicines are made from medicinal plants. Various study on Indian herbal plants shows ther potential pursuit of COVID-19 inhibitors using silico methods. From ancient time in India herbal plants have been used to treat infection caused due to virus es and fungi. Many Indian herbal plants have been reported to work as an immunity booster against viral infections and also consist of antiallergic anti-inflammatory and immunostimulant activities which are effective against covid-19.
