Abstract

Ojas is the essential vital component of all body organs as well as seven body elements. It is prime location of the prana, and the diminution of which leads to decaying of the body, physiologically it exists in the body since the formation of the zygote. Para Ojas and Apara Ojas are the two types that are located in the heart and distributed in the whole body respectively. Since the physical strength of an individual is primarily due to this ojas, aptly it is referred by the name Bala. Diminution, displacement and derangement are the three abnormalities of the Ojas and is essential to plan immediate treatment, otherwise these morbidities may prove fatal. In this article I made an attempt to understand the Ojo Vikruthi so it will be helpful in the purpose of treatment and preventive aspects.
