MANAGEMENT OF RAKTAPITTA (BLEEDING DISORDER) ACCORDING TO KAYACHIKITSA IN AYURVEDA-A REVIEW

. Abstract Raktapitta (bleeding disorder) is a bleeding disorder in which blood comes out from the body orifices without knowing the cause to the patient. It is one of the most important discussion according to Ayurveda. It is a disease entity wherein the ‘bleeding within the body’ without any sign of injury or without the presence of injury or trauma which have been explained in Kaya chikitsa of Astang Ayurveda. Raktapitta (bleeding disorder) disorders shelters ‘hemorrhage disorders’ or bleeding disorders wherein there is bleeding from the mouth, nose, eye, ear, anus, genitals or skin. In this condition the bleeding doesn’t involve true blood, it involves Blood mixed with rakta dhatu.
