A REVIEW: PARPATI KALPANA

. Abstract Rasashastra & Bhaisjya Kalpana is one of the main branch ayurveda, because Treatment is possible only with the Aushada (medicine) which are prepared by Rasashastra. The base Dravya (substance) of Rasaudhis is Parad (mercury), it is not used in its single form as it does not have a medicinal form. Various material combinations and form changes are done to get the properties of the medicine. According to the process, the formulations made from Parad are made in the form of Khalviya, Parpati, Potli, Kupipakva and Bhasma etc. Historical evidence of Parpati Kalpana dates back to the 11th century, with allusions to Acharya Chakrapani's Chakradatta. In Rasashastra, the term Parpati (thin flake-like medicine) has been used multiple times. Parpati is a thin Flake-like mixture made up of Parada, Gandhaka (sulphur), and other. Parada Murchita Yoga is a Parada Murchita Yoga preparation that contains therapeutically beneficial minerals and metallic compositions, including both Sagandha (with sulphur) and Nirgandha (without sulphur) (medicines prepared out of mercury). Parpati Rasayanas have a high therapeutic value, are potent, have little toxicity, and are cost effective. Many studies on Parpati have been done in relation to its medicinal, therapeutic, and literary aspects, but no work on Parpati Kalpana has been done thus far.
