EFFICACY OF JATYADI GHRIT MATRA BASTI IN THE MANEGEMENT OF PARIKARTIKA W. S. R. FISSURE-IN-ANO A CASE STUDY

Abstract

Anorectal disease is the important & common problem in the present era, due to the increasing intake of fast food, lack of exercise & sedentary lifestyle etc. ‘Parikartika’ is one of them. Gudabhagi kartanvat Vedana is tha main symptom in the parikartika. on the basis of sign & symptoms parikartika can be correlated with fissure- in- ano. Fissure-in-ano is a medicosurgical condition. In medical treatments includes oral analgesics, anti inflammatory drugs, topical anaesthetics, soothing agents, sitz bath (with warm water) etc. & surgical treatments are lord's anal dilations, fissurectomy, sphincterotomy, & anal advancement flap surgery. But these all the management has several draw backs & it's own side effects. In Ayurveda Acharya have explained the numbers of ayurvedic dravyas those take internally as well as locally in the form to ointments, pichhu dharan, basti i.e. pichha basti, sidha basti, matra basti etc. The current study tries to explain tha efficacy to jatyadi ghrit appling in the form to Marta - basti in the parikartika w. s. r. Fissure- in- Ano.
