HOLISTIC APPROACH TOWARDS DINACHARYA- A REVIEW

. Abstract Health is told to be the most vital aspect for the achievement of the four aims and objectives of life known as purusthartha chatuska in Ayurveda. Health is considered as the prime factor in life. In the present era of wealth and technologies popular people are living their life only to earn money in pursuit of prosperity to live responsible family life but they have left their physical activity, dietary schedule and sleep pattern etc and their moto in life is just to earn money. This way of living life leads to metabolic disorders. Ayurveda being a holistic health science emphasize the significance of healthy lifestyle for the avoidance of lifestyle disease. Hence an attempt has made to recollect the topic of Dinacharya (daily regimen) described in Ayurveda and their application in present scenario for upholding of good health. Significance of waking up early in the morning, drinking Ushapana (Intake of water in early morning), Sauchakarma (Voiding of excrements), significance of sitting posture during voiding, importance of nasya, gandoosh etc. are being reviewed.
